White tea from Fujian region
White tea, or pinyin in Chinese, is a tea which originates from the Fujian region of China.
It is very lightly oxidised, between 10 and 15%, according to the traditional method. It is the tea which undergoes the smallest transformation compared to the fresh leaf which comes from the tea plant.
Its raw materials are amongst the most sought after. They are rare and often expensive, especially when they are composed solely of buds.
As you can see in the photo, the raw material that we put in our teas reflects our rigorous supply requirements/demands; it is also largely composed of buds.
This tea is the most well-known and is recognised for its antioxidant properties. It is the ultimate anti-aging tea! It has a recognised impact on the effects of aging on the skin.
Out of all the plants and herbs studied by researchers for their antioxidant properties, white tea cannot be beaten.
